CANFIELD SHOWS NO SIGNS OF BEING DOWN

STRUTHERS OH- Continuing their strong form from the previous season, where they reached the Regional Final, Canfield showcased their prowess in the first game of the year with a dominant 65-16 victory over Struthers.

The initial quarter was closely contested, with Canfield holding a narrow 11-10 lead. However, the Cardinals shifted into high gear, outscoring Struthers 18-2 in the second quarter and 19-1 in the third, establishing an insurmountable lead.

Cami Hritz led the charge for Canfield, contributing an impressive 19 points. Jenna Triveri and Carly Fleming each added 8 points to the team’s commanding total.

Struthers’ Katelyn Kimble stood out amidst the tough competition, scoring 12 points in a commendable effort.

As Canfield celebrates their decisive season opener, the team looks poised for another strong campaign.
