CANTON CUTS DOWN COLUMBIANA

CANTON, OH-  Columbiana (2-2) traveled to Canton to take on state power Canton Central Catholic (6-0) and fell by a 10-0 score.

The Crusaders jumped on Columbiana early scoring 7 runs in the first and were able to tack on 1 more in the 3rd and 2 in the 5th to close it out.

Offensively, Columbiana collected 5 hits and put a number of baserunners on but were unable to get the timely hit to get back in the game after falling behind in the first.  Chase Franken led the way with 2 singles while Brady Dixon, Erik Hopfenziz and Evan Kenneally each also singled.

The Clippers look to rebound tomorrow at home when the Struthers Wildcats visit.  Game time is set for 5 PM at Legion Field.
