CARDINALS SPOILS SALEM’S SATURDAY

SALEM OH- Canfield showcased their road resilience on Saturday afternoon, securing a convincing 51-34 victory against Salem. The Cardinals maintained composure throughout, ending both halves strongly to establish substantial leads heading into halftime and concluding the contest.

Jenna Triveri led the scoring charge for Canfield with an impressive 15 points, closely followed by Cami Hritz contributing 14 points. Camie Dill added 9 points, and Grace McQuiston chipped in with 7 points.

Despite a strong individual effort from Salem’s Rylee Hutton, who scored a game-high 21 points, Canfield’s collective strength and strategic play allowed them to pull away for the win.

Canfield, now at a 3-2 record, looks ahead to a girls/boys doubleheader on Tuesday as they host Marlington. Salem, with a 2-6 record, will regroup for their upcoming matchup on Thursday as they travel to face Crestview. The road victory solidifies Canfield’s position as they navigate the season, while Salem aims to bounce back in their next contest.
