EAST PALESTINE, OH – Coach Tony Foster and the East Palestine Bulldogs took the field in week one against the newest member of the EOAC, the Valley Christian Eagles, unfortunately the Dogs fell just short. Week two will see the Bulldogs play host to the Clippers of Columbiana.

The fearless leader of YSN, D.J. Yokley, was able to chat with Coach Foster about their week one matchup, what the Bulldogs and his coaching staff took away from that game, but also what Coach expects from his squad this week against the Clips.

SOUTH RANGE FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 1.1) WITH DAN YEAGLEY

CANFIELD, OH – Week one saw Coach Dan Yeagley and his South Range Raiders play one of their biggest in-conference rivals as the Poland Bulldogs came to town last Friday night. The weather was sloppy, the play was fierce, and the Raiders accomplished what some people thought would never happen, as they not only beat the Bulldogs in the trenches, they also beat them on the scoreboard, 24-21. After an exciting week one game, Coach Yeagley and the Raiders will look to continue their winning streak as they will hit the road and travel to Girard to take on the Indians in week two.

The pride of YSN, D.J. Yokley, had the pleasure to sit down with Coach Yeagley this week to discuss their huge win over the Poland Bulldogs in NE8 play in week one, what the Raiders need to do to in week two to take care of business in Girard, and also what Coach expects from his squad moving forward as the season continues.

CANFIELD FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 2) WITH MIKE PAVLANSKY

CANFIELD, OH – Week one came and went for Coach Mike Pavlansky and the Canfield Cardinals as they flexed their muscles and showed everyone just how powerful they can be on both sides of the football, shutting out the Howland Tigers. Coach Pavlansky and the Cardinals will be back at it on Friday night as they welcome the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions to town.

YSN’s legendary GM, Steve Leslie, had the opportunity to catch up with Coach Pav this week to talk about their week one shutout against Howland, what the Cards need to do to keep their winning ways rolling in week two, what his coaching staff is doing to prepare for NDCL, and much more!

CANFIELD OH- The South Range Raiders are coming off a big home win over Poland in week 1 of the season with a score of 24-21.  The Raiders avenged a 27-7 loss to Poland in the 2019 season.  Raiders head coach Dan Yeagley is no stranger to big wins at the helm of the South Range.  He knows that w=a win last week loses it’s importance if the team doesn’t show up in week 2.  The raiders will have to travel to Girard in week 2 to keep up their momentum and stay in the win column.  Girard is coming off a 35-6 win against Lakeview in week 1.

JACKSON MILTON FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH NATE BRODE (EPISODE 1)

JACKSON MILTON OH- Jackson Milton is coming off an up and down 2019 with a 5-5 record. The Jays started the season on a 3-0 run last year before faltering in five straight. They were able to win their final two games of the season. This gave Head Coach Nate Brode some reasons to believe in his guys. They showed they can bounce back from adversity.

The Jays started the season on the right foot again with a 37-28 win over Lowellville. The Jays want to keep their momentum going into week 2 as they travel to Waterloo.

GIRARD FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER WITH PAT PEARSON (EPISODE 1)

GIRARD OH- Girard is coming off an impressive 35-6 victory in Week 1. The Indians had to fight through a first half that was filled with turnovers and rain. They scored all their points in the second half, when the rain stopped.

Now Girard looks ahead to a huge match up with South Range on Friday. Both teams are coming off a win. This game is one of the highlights of YSN’s schedule on Friday. It promises to be a exciting NE8 clash.

COLUMBIANA, OH – Week one proved to be a great matchup for Coach Paul Cusick and the Crestview Rebels as they fought hard all night but came up just short against Champion. Coach Q and the Rebs will be back at it on Friday night as they welcome the Campbell Memorial Red Devils to town in what will be the first home game on the new field at Crestview Stadium!
