CLIPPERS FLY AWAY WITH EOAC CROWN

COLUMBIANA OH- The Columbiana golf team is redefining the word success when it comes to competing for league championships. The Clippers know nothing but success as for the past nine seasons Columbiana has been home to the league champions in golf. They can now stake that claim to number ten as the Clippers blew away the field at the EOAC golf tournament held Thursday at Salem Hills Golf and Country Club.

Senior Rocco Crawford shined as the defending medalist from a year ago repeated the feat carding a day’s best 76. Crawford’s 76 alongside Anthony Hall 80, Trenton Hall 83 and Blake Unger 88 guided Columbiana to a winning score of 320 and their seventh consecutive EOAC title.

United (379) would take second place on the day behind Mati Zines 85, Patrick Bryan 89, Michael Dangelo 92, and Emma Murphy 113.

Lisbon (399) finished third, Garrett Wallace carded a 78, while Cooper Mollenkopf added a 103, Deven Fox and Logan Sturgeon  each carded a 109 respectively.

East Palestine (415) took home fourth place as Josh Bland posted a 92, Adam Davis 94, Xander Pink 107 and Connor Conaway 122 all contributed to the Bulldogs on the day.

Southern (428) landed in fifth behind Wyatt Bach 88, Justus Black 102, Logan Howell 116, and Zac Mayfield 122.

Leetonia (488) placed sixth on the day, the Bears were led by Evan Rosko 100, Carter Bondi 126, Chase Bondi 128, and Lyla Oliver 134.

Wellsville was represented by a pair of golfers as Landon Ramsey posted a 95 and teammate Maddox Bosco scored a 119.
