COLUMBIANA CLIPS LISBON

LISBON, OH – It was a chilly autumn evening in Columbiana as the Clippers prepared to face off against their arch-rivals, the Lisbon Blue Devils. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as fans from both teams gathered in the stands, ready to witness a fierce battle on the gridiron.

The Lisbon Blue Devils struck first, making their presence felt early in the game. Trevor Siefke, Lisbon’s agile running back, powered through the defense for a determined 6-yard touchdown run. Ben Weber’s extra point was good, and Lisbon took an early 7-0 lead.

But the Clippers were not about to let their rivals dictate the game. Columbiana quickly responded with a remarkable 18-yard touchdown run by Spencer Pruitt, who showcased his speed and agility as he weaved through defenders. Aidan Radcliff’s precise extra point tied the game at 7-7.

Lisbon was determined to maintain their lead, and they did so with a stunning 73-yard touchdown run by Ashton Hinchcliff. Ben Weber’s extra point was on target, putting Lisbon ahead 14-7.

Columbiana, however, continued to show their resilience. Quarterback Liam Surgenevic connected with Kian Hartley on a beautiful 36-yard touchdown pass. Aidan Radcliff’s extra point was good once again, leveling the score at 14-14.

As the game progressed, the Clippers seized control. Hayes McCoy, the Clippers’ quarterback, found Spencer Pruitt with a perfect 37-yard touchdown pass. Aidan Radcliff’s consistent kicking gave Columbiana a 21-14 lead.

The Clippers weren’t finished yet. Kian Hartley showcased his versatility with a 4-yard touchdown run, and Radcliff’s PAT extended the lead to 28-14 in favor of Columbiana.

But the Blue Devils wouldn’t back down. Trevor Siefke, determined to keep his team in the game, scored his second touchdown of the night with a gritty 3-yard run. Ben Weber’s extra point narrowed the gap to 28-21.

As the final minutes ticked away, Lisbon fought fiercely to try and tie the game, but the Columbiana Clippers’ defense held strong. The final whistle blew, and the Columbiana faithful erupted in cheers as their team emerged victorious, winning the intense showdown 28-21.

The game had been a true showcase of skill, determination, and the unyielding spirit of both teams.
