COWBOYS RIDE HIGH IN RETURN TO THE FIELD

YOUNGSTOWN,OHIO. The Chaney Cowboys took on the Howland Tigers at the Historic Rayen Field. Chaney came away with a strong 32-21 win.

The Cowboys offense was led by the rushing attack with Malik Hunter rushing for 89 yards and as well as freshman quarterback Matt Jones who took off for a couple of big touchdown runs. The Howland offense was led by running back Matt Woomer with 59 rushing yards but he and quarterback John Perry struggled to find space against this strong Cowboys defense led by monster defensive end Clive Wilson who stands at 6’6 and weighs 265 and has already committed to play college football at Boston college. The overwhelming play of Wilson and the rest of the Chaney defense was just too much the Tigers as they were defeated 32-21.

Chaney will take on the the East Golden bears next week. Howland will try and jump back into the win column as they will take on the Canfield Cardinals.
