YOUNGSTOWN, OH- A strong start paved the way for Chaney on Tuesday, as they were able to withstand the storm against their crosstown rival Ursuline- 77-60.
A 22-8 frame to lead the game off for the Cowboys set the tone, as Ursuline tried to set the tempo, but the athleticism of Chaney was just too much.
Chaney’s Cam Lawrence would contribute 20 to lead all scorers while Sharrod Taylor chipped in 15 and William Brown supplemented the offense with 10.
For Ursuline, Vince Armeni led Irish scorers.
The Irish will prep for Bristol on Friday while Chaney will play Kennedy Catholic on Sunday.
