AUSTINTOWN, OHIO- The Austintown Fitch Lady Falcons took on the visiting Salem Quakers on a Saturday afternoon matchup of High school Girls basketball.
The big story line for the Falcons was Zayda Creque reaching the milestone of 1,000 career points. As time was running out in the game, Creque launched a three pointer from the top of they key and it took little bounce off of the back of the rim and fell in with just a 1:19 seconds left. Kylie Folkwein led the Falcons in scoring with 14 points and Jocelyn Jourdan also added 12 points.
The Salem Quakers came out firing as Kami Rohm drilled 6 three pointers on her way to a 18 point performance. Rylee Hutton and Abbie Davison also had a productive game as Hutton finished with 16 points and Davidson dropped 17 points, as the Quakers went on the win 61-43.
The Quakers improve to a record of 18-2 and will be back in action next Saturday when they take on Notre Dame-Cathedral. The Falcons will try to finish the season at 11-11 when they take on West Branch at home on Wednesday.
