CRESTVIEW OFFENSE OVERWHELMS WARRIORS

BROOKFIELD OH- On Thursday night the Crestview Rebels took on the Brookfield Warriors in Brookfield for MVAC play. The Rebels had been perfect this season and came in ranked inside the top 100 for the state of Ohio. Brookfield was coming in off to tough road losses to Liberty and Springfield and were trying to get back to winning as they had only lost once at home this season.

The undefeated Rebels got right to work as Abbey Emch waisted no time adding on to her kill numbers this season as she absolutely dominated the first set of the night, The Lady Rebels were the first on the board and they would not allow the Warriors to hold a lead in the first set as they went on to win 25-8 Set two was no different as once again the Rebels jumped out in front early on thanks to some phenomenal serves by Grace Auer and Alyssa Smotherman. The Rebels won set two 25-14. To start the third set the Warriors immediately got out to their only lead of the night as they scored first. Crestview would tie the game back up on the following serve and they would trade blows with Crestview staying on top and after one big run to end it the Rebels won their thirty-sixth set of the season 25-12 over the Warriors.

Abbey Emch was named player of the game as she dropped in 15 kills with a success rate of 65% on the night and four blocks. Grace Auer was next in line for the award as she hit double digits in aces with 10. Crestview’s unblemished record remained perfect as they moved to (12-0) and have still yet to lose a set on the season. They play next Tuesday back at home as they host the Newton Falls Tigers.  Brookfield lost their third straight game and fall to (6-9) and will visit LaBrae next Tuesday.
