DO YOU FEEL THE RUSH?

BELOIT OH- Setters are so crucial to a volleyball team. No matter how many good hitters you have, or how well you can pass on defense, if you don’t have a setter who can get the ball where it needs to go you won’t be too successful. West Branch has one of the elite setters in the area in Hannah Rush. Rush is the newest Warrior member of the 1000 assist club. When she got it, she didn’t even know the moment happened. If you asked her what the exact point where she got it was, she wouldn’t be able to tell you. But not to worry, a couple of games later West Branch made sure she got her milestone moment.  Rush was recognized pre game and given a game ball, and a celebration to commemorate her new milestone. That moment is one that Hannah can always look back on and treasure. The most important part of that night was that her teammates were with her. It doesn’t take long to realize that Hannah is an absolute team player.  She will be the first to talk about a teammate when asked about her own success. That selflessness has helped her build a strong relationship with her hitters that has her offense rolling on all cylinders.

Rush took the time this week to come on to YSN’s Running Point to talk about her milestone moment with DJ Yokley and Anthony Hartwig.  She also discusses her future goals as a person, the things the sport has taught her, and much more.
