EAGLES FLY AWAY WITH A VICTORY OVER POLAND

HUBBARD OH- In a nail-biting Northeast 8 Conference matchup, the Hubbard Eagles emerged victorious with a 6-5 win over the Poland Bulldogs this evening. It was a close battle from start to finish, with both teams leaving it all on the field.

Kaylee Schultz earned the win for Hubbard, displaying her pitching prowess by allowing just two hits and one run over three innings. On the other side, Olivia Horn took the loss for the Bulldogs, surrendering 5 runs, 3 of which were earned, and 6 hits.

The Eagles’ offense was led by Lauren Komorek, who delivered a solo homerun in the 3rd inning and followed it up with a triple, tallying 3 RBIs for the day. Haleigh Taylor also made her mark with 3 hits, including a double, helping to keep Hubbard’s offense rolling.

Although the Bulldogs outhit the Eagles, they couldn’t quite plate another run in the crucial 7th inning. Mary Brant led the charge for Poland with 3 hits, including a double, while Elliana Thompson, Leanna Boccieri, and Leanne Williams each contributed 2 hits.
