CORTLAND OH- Coning in to Week 4, Edison’s defense had only given up 8 points all season. They welcomed in their biggest challenge yet on Friday though as a high flying Mathews team matched up with them in Lakeview.  Mathews had scored 113 points in the last two weeks. Edison’s defense stood tall though, and their offense blew up in the second half to run away with a 48-10 win.

After Mathews opened up the game with a short touchdown pass to make it 7-0, the Wildcats defense only allowed 3 points the rest of the way. The Wildcats won the second half 34-0.

Edison will continue their season in Week 5 as they host Steubenville Central Catholic.
