FALCONS TAKE THEIR TALENTS ON THE ROAD

CHARDON OH- Facing perhaps its toughest opponent to date, the Fitch softball team went on the road and kept its undefeated season alive by beating Chardon 7-2 on Thursday afternoon.

The Hilltoppers came into the game with an 11-3 record matching the 11 wins of the Lady Falcons who went on to make it twelve straight to start the year.

Freshman Morgan Roby led the scoring with 3 RBIs off a single, a double, and a sacrifice hit. Senior infielder Caitlin Mitchell had a double and one RBI and junior Ayla Ray tallied an RBI and a single. Kylie Folkwein and Samantha Severn chipped in with each racking up a single and a double.

Sydnie Watts got her twelfth straight win and had 13 strikeouts on the day.

The Lady Falcons will be back on their home turf Friday as they take on Archbishop Hoban with the first pitch scheduled for 5:00pm.
