GIVE US MOORMAN

YOUNGSTOWN OH- Ursuline senior Anisah Moorman is no stranger to playing basketball at an elite level. She played at St Christine’s before high school being coached by her uncle. That youth program seems to pop out talent at the high school level like its their job. Now a senior Anisah’s work ethic and drive hasn’t died down one bit. Her goals to be the best she can be are still the same, and she tries to instill that drive into the rest of her team.

The Irish have had to deal with their fair share of adversity. Like many teams in the area, they have had to navigate shutdowns due to COVID concerns. Anisah said it has been hard for the team to keep their competitive edge while stopping and starting throughout the year. But their tough schedule means they don’t take long to sharpen back up. Another reason the Irish have been able to persevere is their senior leadership. They have a large group of seniors that have been playing together for quite some time. Anisah and her senior teammates have no plans to end their careers any time soon. Their team goals have become laser focused on winning a district title. You do not want to be the team that gets in their way.

Anisah took the time to sit and talk with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig. She fit in the interview before a film session, which just backs up her drive to excellence. She talks with Anthony about the obstacles this season has presented, her favorite memories with the program, and much more. Gear up for the final stretch of the basketball season with this Lady Irish player profile “Give Us Moorman.”
