LADY BULLDOGS TAKE THRILLER AGAINST UNITED

EAST PALESTINE, OH- It’s not quite Halloween, but United and East Palestine had a thriller of a match on Tuesday night!  The sea-saw battle took the teams all five sets to sort matters out, but the Lady Bulldogs were the last team standing in a 25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 10-25, 16-14 victory.

The wealth was spread around for East Palestine as Sophia Foster led the way with 24 digs, 9 points, 9 aces, and a block.  Sophia’s sister Ceci tallied 9 points, 10 assists, 3 aces, and two kills- and closed out the match with her final two serves that the Lady Eagles were unable to return.  Mia Lee shined with 12 points, 8 kills, a trio of aces, and 2 timely blocks.  The duo of Mackenzie Parker and Elle Berger teamed up for 17 assists, 10 kills, and 7 points between them.

For United, Grace Knight was on fire in the fourth set going 11 straight points from service, which counted toward her 21 points on the night.  Tori Tschappatt had 13 points for the Lady Eagles.

East Palestine (8-3, 5-3) will hop on the bus and head to Columbiana the next two nights as they challenge the Heartland Christian Lady Lions on Wednesday, and then back to EOAC action against the Lady Clippers on Thursday.
