HOWLAND VOLLEYBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1) WITH AMANDA FLOREK

HOWLAND OH- Consistency is key into building a strong program, and usually it has to start at the top.  At Howland there are no worries about a consistent culture from head coach Amanda Florek.  Entering her 13th season as the head coach of the Tigers she brings experience that not too many teams in the area have. With years comes knowledge, and Florek has been through it all at Howland. So the graduation of a few key pieces in the Tigers rotation shouldn’t shy people away from thinking Howland will be successful. They still have a solid core coming back, and some bright young talent looking to take the next step in their journey.  It’s not wise to sleep on the big cats in the jungle, and Howland might prove why this season.

Coach Florek graciously cut out some time to talk with YSN’s Anthony Hartwig to preview the new season. They talk about what keeps her coming back to coaching, the new faces Tigers fans have to know before the season starts, and much more.
