JAYS TAKE TWO FROM SEBRING

NORTH JACKSON OH- After yet another week off, the Lady Jays welcomed Sebring in a 5-inning double header. The Lady Jays started the game slow not scoring until the fourth inning. Sebring had a double in the second scoring on an error. The Lady Jays got it started in the top of the fourth when Grace Johns hit a double. All fourteen runs were scored in the fourth inning. Alena Len, Emily Fultz, and Riley Headley all earned singles. Chelsea Williams and Paige Grope each earned themselves a triple while Paige also tallied a double. Emily Fultz lead the way going 3-for-4 with three singles. The Lady Jays took the first game 14-1.Riley Headley took the circle for the first game giving up just two hits, walking one and striking out six.

The Lady Jays used that momentum to start the second game off strong scoring two in the first inning with singles by Chelsea Williams, Grace Johns and Maggie Simkins. Sebring scored one on an error in the bottom of the first.

The girls kept it going scoring eight in the second inning. Chelsea, Macayle and Maggie each earned a single while Grace hit herself a double. In the third inning, the Lady Jays tallied six hits to score seven more. Hailey Chudomelka, Grace Johns, Macayle Thornhill and Emalee Kalish all earned singles. Emalee also earned a double while Chelsea earned herself another triple for the day. To finish the game, the Lady Jays scored three more in the fourth with a single by Paige Grope and a triple by Macayle Thornhill. Chelsea, Grace, and Macayle lead the second game each going 3-for-4 at the plate. The Lady Jays took the second game 20-1.

Macayle Thornhill earned herself her first no-hitter today walking zero with three strikeouts.

The Lady Jays are back in action tomorrow for a double header at home against Mathews with the first game starting at 11:00.
