LADY SPARTANS FALL BEHIND EARLY AGAINST INSPIRATION

SARASOTA, FL- Boardman watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-4 loss to Inspiration Academy on Monday. Inspiration Academy took the lead on a double in the first inning.

Boardman lost despite out-hitting Inspiration Academy eight to seven.

Inspiration Academy opened up scoring in the first inning. Avery Bouquin drove in one when she doubled.

Boardman notched four runs in the sixth inning. Cami Goske, Bella Eliser, and Madison Lester all drove in runs in the frame.

Inspiration Academy scored three runs in the fifth inning. Inspiration Academy’s big inning was driven by a home run by Bouquin and an error on a ball put in play by Amelia Mejias.

Elle Hildreth led the Inspiration Academy to victory in the pitcher’s circle. The hurler allowed eight hits and four runs over seven innings.

Lester took the loss for the Lady Spartans. The righty surrendered five runs on four hits over four innings, striking out five.

Jenna Olexa led Boardman with two hits in three at-bats.

Inspiration Academy totaled seven hits in the game. Danika Best and Bouquin each racked up multiple hits for Inspiration Academy.
