LAKEVIEW KEEPS PACE IN THE NE8

CORTLAND OH- Isabella Isenberg didn’t allow a single run against Niles, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Lakeview to a 18-0 victory on Tuesday

Gianna Caruso led Lakeview to victory by driving in four runs. Caruso went 3-for-3 at the plate. Caruso drove in runs on a triple in the first, a home run in the third, and a double in the fourth.

The Bulldogs got on the board in the first inning when Caruso tripled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Lakeview put up five runs in the second inning. Their offense in the inning came from a walk by Maggie Pavlansky, a single by Hallie Capan, a sac fly by Izzy Haines, and by Addison Allen.

Isenberg was on the rubber for Lakeview. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 12 and walking zero.

The Bulldogs smacked one home run on the day. Caruso went yard in the third inning.

Lakeview scattered 17 hits in the game. Pavlansky, Mack Stowe, Caruso, Makenna Werner, and Capan all managed multiple hits. Caruso, Stowe, and Pavlansky all had three hits to lead.

The Bulldogs didn’t commit a single error in the field. Stowe had the most chances in the field with ten. Lakeview  stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Pavlansky led the way with three.
