LIST, SUSANY BATTLE IT OUT AS SOUTH RANGE FALLS AGAINST BEAVER

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- In a matchup that only took both teams traveling 12 hours south to play against a team 20 minutes away from one another, it turned out to be everything we wanted and more in a 4-1 Beaver victory.

One of the nations’s top recruits, Payton List, was the winning pitcher for Beaver Bobcats. The righthander allowed four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out ten.

Sam Susany was incredibly impressive as well but took the loss for South Range Raiders Varsity. Susany allowed nine hits and four runs over six innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.

The Lady Bobcats tallied nine hits on the day. Chloe List, Kenzie Springer, and Kayla Cornell each collected multiple hits for Beaver Varsity Bobcats.

South Range’s Jamie Feren continued her hot start on the beach, pacing the offense with one of the Raider’s four hits.  Maddie Dado also had a base knock and Susany led all hitters with a pair of hits.  Also noteworthy was Kelly Szolek’s defensive prowess behind the plate- the South Range backstop threw out runners twice to keep the Bobcats out of scoring position.

South Range (4-1) will now turn the page to face Lewisville on Wednesday at noon.
