POLAND OPENS NEW FIELD WITH A WIN

POLAND OH- It was an exciting night in Poland as the Bulldogs got to play on campus for the first time since 2007.  With a brand new softball field done and ready to go, the Bulldogs christened it with a 8-2 victory over Hubbard.  Poland Hall if Famers Reid Lamport and Erin Gabriel threw out the first pitch, and Katie McDonald took it from there.

The Bulldogs ace in the circle threw all 7 innings while striking out 12. She gave up 1 earned run on 5 hits.

Not only did McDonald give Poland their first win on a new field, she also launched the Bulldogs first home run in their new home.  Eliana Thompson had a great day at the plate for Poland at the top of their lineup. She went 3-4 and crossed the plate twice. Kylie Hudran also went 3-4 from the eight spot in the lineup. She gathered a RBI as well.  Leanna Boccieri drove in 2 runs on a 2-4 day.

Hubbard was led at the plate by Lauren Kamorek who went 1-3 with a HR and a RBI.  Alyssa Gregory went 1-3 as well with a RBI.  Jillian Palumbo went 1-2 with a double.

Poland is scheduled to play 2 games on Saturday at home against Chalker. The first pitches of those games are at 1:00 and 5:00.
