RUNNING WEDNESDAYS WITH RICK SYPERT (EP 7) FEATURING AVA VECCHIONE & AVA HULETT

It’s finally here! The time every track and field athlete has been working for. This weekend, it’s time to compete for state.  It took a lot of sweat and blood to get these runners and throwers to this point.  For these athletes, getting to Dayton is more than just a 250 mile drive, it’s 4 months of grinding through a season.  We are pleased to say at YSN we have the best track athletes we could ask for. Over 100 student athletes in the YSN family are competing for glory in the state meet.  On this episode of Running Wednesday with Rick Sypert every single one is called out and praised.  Coach Sypert recaps an impressive regional round, and previews what our athletes have to look forward to this weekend.

Our special guests this week are two hurdlers that are making return trips to this round. They both wear Orange and Black, albeit different animals on the front of their jersey.  Ava Vecchione from Springfield, and Ava Hulett from Mineral Ridge join the guys to talk about their journey, and what it took to get here. They both also discuss what lessons they learned from being at this spot last season.  Both of them are tremendous 3 sport athletes and for Vecchione she hopes to end her high school career on the high of a podium birth.  Hulett will be competing against her and looks to continue one of the most impressive athletic careers Mineral Ridge has ever seen.  So check out Episode 7 of Running Wednesdays only on YSN!
