LISBON OH- The Lisbon Blue Devils got their first win of the season in Week 6 over East Palestine. Matt Altomare is in his second season as the head coach at Lisbon, and things are finally starting to take shape the way he envisioned.

Coach will be the first to tell you how tough it is to be s first year head coach in a season as chaotic as 2020 was. He called it “year 0.” With the uncertainty of everything, it made it difficult to really build a culture. So if last season was year 0, that means this season is year 1. It is still a season in the shadows of COVID, but it has become a lot easier for the Blue Devils to grow as a unit.

Coach Altomare took the time to come on to YSN’s Running Point this week to talk about his program. He talks with Anthony Hartwig, and Ty Bartell about the growth of the Blue Devils, his team’s first win, and much more. Episode 1 of Coach’s Corner with Matt Altomare is live.
