BLUE DEVILS CAGE BLUEJAYS

NORTH JACKSON, OH – The 2019-2020 regular season is officially over for the Lisbon Blue Devils as they traveled up to Jackson Milton to take on the Bluejays. The Blue Devils and the Bluejays both were looking for a win to build some confidence before heading into the playoffs next Tuesday, but it was the Blue Devils that emerged victorious with a 52-41 win.

From the opening tip to the final buzzer, the Lisbon Blue Devils controlled the tempo and handled everything Jackson Milton threw their way. The Blue Devils couldn’t break off a big lead until late in the third quarter. Once Lisbon went up by 10, the Bluejays were never able to regain any momentum or chip away at the Lisbon lead.

LIBERATI PAINTS THE COURT BLUE

LISBON, OH- You could have put a brush in Lisbon’s Maddie Liberati’s hand tonight from all the action in the paint. Lisbon defeated Lordstown 60 to 18 behind 32 points from Liberati.

Lordstown was never really able to get out of the gate, the same could not be said for Lisbon who outscored Lordstown 25 to 6 in the first quarter, 12 from Liberati, and never looked back. Turnovers plagued Lordstown most of the contest and they never had an answer for Liberati down low.

The Lisbon defense forced many contested shots that did not fall in Lordstowns favor. Emily Knox had 5 points for Lordstown.

If Lisbon continues to play like this in the tournament they will be a very tough team to play when they return to action this Saturday at 1pm.
