BIG TEST NEXT FOR HUBBARD

Hubbard’s Phoebe Rusnak would start the inning off with a single up the middle. An error by Southeast would then allow Emily Filicky to reach and put two runners on for Isabella O’Brien. The smooth swinging freshman would then poke one down the right field line for a bases clearing double.

Following a strikeout by Kailah Gregory, the Lady Eagles would then hit back-to-back-to-back singles to bring O’Brien home and again put two runners on with a big hitter coming to the plate.

Senior Sydney Bowser would come up big with a line drive single through the 6-5 gap to bring across their 6th and 7th runs for the inning.

Defensively, Hubbard was led by the talented arm of O’Brien. The righty would strike out 17 batters in her 7 innings of work on the day.
