EAGLE WEAR GRABS GAME 1 OVER PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Eagle Wear now has a 1-0 series lead over Prospects with an 8-4 win on Wednesday. Eagle Wear had a big three run 5th inning that propelled them to victory.

Jack Knight went 1-1 with 2 RBI for Eagle Wear. Ian Barton went 1-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. He also walked twice. DaShawn Putnam went 2-4 with 2 runs scored.

Brandon Popio had a solid day for Prospects going 1-4 with 2 RBI. Jared Liepheimer went 1-2 with a RBI. Zach Macik went 2-3 with a run scored.

Knight picked up the win on the rubber for Eagle Wear. He went 3 innings giving up 1 run on 0 hits. He struck out a hitter.

ROTH TAKES BIG STEP FORWARD

STRUTHERS OH-

Roth Brothers easily dispatched Prospects 11-2 on Wednesday

Roth got things moving in the first inning, when John Cambert singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Roth notched three runs in the sixth inning.  The batters contributing to the big inning included Cambert, CJ Frasco, and Brendan Ray, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Cambert pitched Roth to victory. He lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four.  

Freddie Bolchalk toed the rubber for Prospects. He allowed three hits and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.  

Roth tallied 13 hits in the game.  Cambert, Dylan Casey, and Frasco each racked up multiple hits.  Frasco, Casey, and Cambert each managed two hits to lead.

Bolchalk led Prospects with two hits in three at bats.

ROTH PITCHING HUSHES PROSPECT BATS

arSTRUTHERS OH-

Prospects fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 8-0 loss to Roth Brothers on Monday.

Prospects struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Roth Brothers, giving up eight runs.

Roth Brothers got things moving in the first inning.  Logan Baxter drove in two when he doubled.

A single by Nico Ciminero in the fourth inning was a positive for Prospects.

CJ Frasco got the win for Roth Brothers. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

Caleb Hadley took the loss for Prospects. He lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out four and walking one.

Prospects racked up six hits in the game.  Anthony Marimpietri and Ciminero all had multiple hits.  Ciminero and Marimpietri each managed two hits to lead.

Roth Brothers totaled 17 hits in the game.  Cambert, Baxter, Brendan Ray, Luke Rohan, and Ben Wilcox each managed multiple hits.

CREEKSIDE AND PROSPECTS DRAW EVEN

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside and Prospects couldn’t decide a winner on Sunday as they ended in a 5-5 tie. Prospects scored two runs in the 6th to tie things up.

For Creekside Johnny Leedham collected the team’s only RBI’s. He went 2-3 with 2 RBI. Jack Davis also had multiple hits going 2-3 with a run scored.

Brandon Popio had a good day swinging the stick for Prospects. He went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-2 with a walk and a RBI.

Hettrick pitched the bulk of the innings for Prospects. He threw 5 innings giving up 5 runs on 7 hits. He struck out 6.

Devin Gruver got the most work for Creekside. He went 3 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit.

PROSPECTS BARREL THROUGH AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Prospects used a combination of strong offense and lights out pitching to make quick work of Avalanche on Sunday 7-1. Prospects scored 7 runs on 8 hits while allowing Avalanche on 1 run on 4 hits.

Jake Hettrick didn’t collect a hit for Prospects, but he did lead the team with 2 RBI. He also walked and scored a run. Peyton Koss went 1-2 with a run scored and a RBI.

Tim West collected 2 of his team’s 4 hits as he had a perfect day at the plate going 2-2. Lucas Cummings went 1-2 and had Avalanche’s sole RBI.

Robby Kist was dynamite on the hill for Prospects. He went 4 innings and gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He struck out 1 batter.

ASTROS SURVIVE SCARE FROM PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- After Astro Falcons scored four runs in the 1st inning, The Prospects made a mighty comeback to tie things up in the 5th. The Falcons responded with one run, and then shut down the Prospects offense to steal a 5-4 victory.

Matt Shepard went 2-3 for the Falcons with a run scored and a RBI. Dom Pilolli went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Will Ray went 1-2 with a run scored and a RBI.

Jared Mindek has a monster day and went 3-4 with a run scored and 3 RBI. Clay Wiesen went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Cal Bickerstaff was rewarded the win on the rubber. He went 2 innings and gave up 0 runs on 1 hit. He struck out 4.

PROSPECTS BLANK KNIGHTLINE

STRUTHERS OH- Prospects shutout Knightline on Saturday 9-0. Prospects scored their 9 runs on 8 hits, and held Knightline to only 2 hits.

Austen Price was a monster for Prospects. He went 3-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. David Leslie went 1-4 with 2 RBI. Nick Osborne went 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI.

Nathan Meeks went 1-2 for Knightline. Brett Bobin got the other hit for the team going 1-3.

Jeremy Kreuzwieser was masterful on the mound. He went the distance pitching all 7 innings giving up 0 runs on 2 hits. He struck out 6. He only used 77 pitches.

BALLISTIC WITHSTANDS LATE PROSPECTS PUSH

STRUTHERS OH-

Ballistic Baseball got out to a six-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for a 7-5 victory over Prospects on Saturday.  Prospects scored five runs in the failed comeback on a single by Montgomery Hart in the sixth, a double by Cobey Airwikie in the seventh, a walk by Carter Knupp in the seventh, a single by Remington Hart in the seventh, and a walk by AJ Yost in the seventh.

Ballistic earned the victory despite allowing Prospects to score four runs in the seventh inning.  Prospects big bats were led by Airwikie, Knupp,  Hart, and Yost, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Ballistic Baseball got on the board in the first inning.  Ryan Conti singled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Ballistic Baseball  put up three runs in the third inning.  Ballistic Baseball 14u  big bats were led by Boston Mullinax and Conti, who all drove in runs.

Michael Chambers got the start for Ballistic Baseball. He lasted four innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out four.

Airwikie was on the mound for Prospects. He allowed six hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two. 

Ballistic Baseball tallied 13 hits on the day.  Ryan Conti, Thomas Pesa, Chambers, Mullinax, and Caleb Saterfield all had multiple hits. Pesa, and Conti each collected three hits to lead Ballistic.

Prospects racked up nine hits on the day.  Airwikie and Hart all managed multiple hits.  Airwikie led Prospects with three hits in four at bats.

PROSPECTS SNEAK BY ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects ran off with the lead late in the game in a 9-7 victory over Roth Brothers on Saturday.  Prospects trailed 7-6 in the top of the seventh inning when an error scored two runs.

Prospects built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Roth Brothers’s charge.  Roth Brothers scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a in the fourth, and in the sixth, a double by John Cambert in the sixth, a double by PJ Scott in the sixth, and a double by Dustin Smith in the sixth.

Prospects  got on the board in the first inning when CJ Frasco’s wild pitch allowed one run.

Prospects scored one run in the top of the fourth, Roth Brothers answered with one of their own.  Prospects scored when Nico Ciminero’s sac fly scored one run.

Michael Condoleon earned the victory on the hill for Prospects. He went five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out five.  

Frasco took the loss for Roth Brothers. He lasted three innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out three and walking zero.

Prospects totaled 11 hits.  Condoleon and Donovan McCoy all managed multiple hits.  McCoy and Condoleon each collected three hits to lead.

CREEKSIDE HANDLES PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Creekside had no issue with beating the Prospects 7-2 on Friday. Creekside scored 7 runs on 7 hits while Prospects scored 2 runs on 4 hits.

Johnny Leedham has a great day for Creekside going 2-3 with 2 runs scored, a walk, and a RBI. Jayden Maggs went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI. Logan Cayavec went 1-3 with a RBI.

Jake Dohy went 1-3 for Prospects and picked up their lone RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a run scored.

Cayavec got the victory on the bump for Creekside. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He struck out 4 only using 70 pitches.
