PROSPECTS PUT THE HURT ON AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects was victorious over Avalanche, 7-3

Avalanche took an early lead in the first inning.

In the top of the second inning, Prospects tied things up at two.  Donovan McCoy grounded out, scoring one run.

Prospects took the lead for good with one run in the third inning.  In the third Michael Condoleon doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Cobey Airwikie  was the winning pitcher for Prospects. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking zero.  

Hunter Stelter took the loss for Avalanche. He went two and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out one.

Caleb Hadley led Prospects with two hits in four at bats.

A2Z JUMP AHEAD EARLY TO BEAT PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH-

A2Z jumped out to an early lead over Prospects and took home a 7-3 victory on Wednesday.  A2Z scored on a stolen base by Aiden Thompson, a walk by Matt Paparodis, and a single by Joe Aey in the first inning.

A2Z earned the victory despite allowing Prospects to score three runs in the first inning.  Prospects big inning was driven by singles by Caleb Hadley and Mike Condolen and a groundout by Carter Knupp.

Carson Bish led things off on the hill for A2Z. He allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out five.

Cobey Airwikie toed the rubber for Prospects.  He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero hits and three runs. 

Aey led A2Z with two hits in two at bats.

PROSPECTS GRAB LEAD LATE TO BEAT WHITING

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects defeated Whiting 9-6 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at six with Prospects batting in the bottom of the sixth when Kris Hrosar singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Prospects earned the victory despite allowing Whiting to score four runs in the first inning.  Whiting’s big inning was driven by singles by Grant Melder, Nate Thomas, Owen Keister, and Sam Patton.

Whiting got things started in the first inning.  Melder drove in one when he singled.

Carter Knupp took the win for Prospects. He went three innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out two.

Grayson Hooks took the loss for Whiting. He allowed six hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one.

Prospects racked up 15 hits in the game.  Caleb Hadley, Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, Knupp, and Ciminero all managed multiple hits.  Hadley led the way with three hits in four at bats.

Whiting racked up ten hits.  Thomas, Keister, and Melder each racked up multiple hits for Whiting.  Thomas went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead.

KNIGHTLINE BLOW PROSPECTS OUT OF THE WATER

STRUTHERS OH- Knightline has a great offensive day on Tuesday beating Prospects 8-3. They scored their 8 runs on 12 hits. Their biggest inning came in the 4th where they scored four runs.

Dru DeShields led the way for Knightline going 2-3 with 2 RBI. Mikey Sciortino went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Gino Lazzari also had multiple hits going 2-4 with a run scored.

Jared Liepheimer still has an impressive day despite the loss. He went 2-3 with a RBI. Brandon Popio went 2-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Remington Hart also had multiple hits going 2-3.

Jake Corll continued to impress with a win on the mound. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits. He struck out 4.

DURA EDGE LEAVE PROSPECTS SHIPWRECKED

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge scores all six of their runs in the 3rd and 4th innings in their Monday night win over Prospects 6-3. The Prospects trailed 6-1 and were able to manage two runs in the 7th to close the gap a bit, but that’s all Dura Edge pitching would give up.

Jake Bowen led Dura Edge’s offensive attack going 2-4 with 2 RBI. Braden Gebhardt went 1-2 with 2 RBI. Zack Leonard went 2-4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.

On the Prospects side of things, Tito Multari went 1-1 with a RBI. Sean Helpy managed to go 1-3 with a run scored and a RBI.

Will Shaffer got the win on the mound for Dura Edge. He went 6 innings giving up 1 run on 6 hits. He struck out 6.

ROTH BROTHERS SEND PROSPECTS PACKING

STRUTHERS OH- Roth Brothers offense was firing on all cylinders on Sunday night as they bruised Prospects 10-5. After Prospects scored five runs in the 4th inning, Roth answered with three of their own to pull away for good.

Christian Mudrey was productive at the plate for Roth Brothers going 1-3 with 2 RBI. Zach Pleska went 2-4 with 2 runs scored. AJ Patellis walked three times and scored a pair of runs.

Lucas Lancaster had a good day for Prospects offense going 1-2 with a walk and 2 RBI. Jake Hettrick went 2-2 with a run scored and 2 RBI.

Alex Nicholson got the win on the mound for Roth. He went 3 innings giving up 5 runs on 5 hits and struck out a hitter.

 

PROSPECTS SHOOT OUT BALLISTIC

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects claimed a 12-3 victory on Sunday, despite a big push by Ballistic in the fifth inning.  Thomas Pesa and Dominic Elia all drove in runs in the frame.

Cobey Airwikie took the win for Prospects. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three and a third innings, striking out five and walking one.  Michael Condoleon, Stephen Palmer, and Nico Ciminero all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.  Ciminero recorded the last out to earn the save.

Elia took the loss for Ballistic. He went three innings, allowing ten runs on 12 hits and walking one.

Prospects racked up 16 hits in the game.  Donovan McCoy, Condoleon, Palmer, Carter Knupp, Anthony Marimpietri, Airwikie, and Montgomery Hart each racked up multiple hits.  McCoy led Prospects with three hits in three at bats.

PROSPECTS PICTURE PERFECT IN VICTORY

STRUTHERS OH

Prospects defeated CSA 7-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Stephen Palmer induced a fly out from Andrew Brown to finish off the game.

Prospects secured the victory thanks to four runs in the second inning.  Anthony Marimpietri, Kris Hrosar, Nico Ciminero, and Cobey Airwikie each had RBIs in the big inning.

Prospects opened up scoring in the first inning, when they scored one run on a stolen base.

Prospects scored four runs in the second inning.  Their offense in the inning was led by Marimpietri, Hrosar, Ciminero, and Airwyke, all driving in runs in the frame.

One bright spot for CSA was a double by Ethan  Feezle in the fourth inning.

Freddy Bolchalk was the winning pitcher for Prospects. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five and a third innings, striking out 11.  Palmer threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Palmer recorded the last two outs to earn the save for Youngstown Class B Prospect Pirates 14U 2020.

Noah Adamson took the loss for CSA. He allowed seven hits and six runs over four innings.

Donovan McCoy led Prospects with two hits in two at bats.  

Feezle went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead CSA.

PROSPECTS PILLAGE WHITING

STRUTHERS OH- It was all Prospects in their game against Whiting Roll-Offs on Wednesday. Prospects scored four in the 1st, and then spread three more runs through the rest of the game. They scored 7 runs on 13 hits and held Whiting to 0 runs on 4 hits.

Luca Bertolasio has a tremendous day for Prospects. He went 4-4 with 2 RBI. Jake Hettrick went 1-3 with a walk a run scored and 2 RBI. Zach Macik went 3-4 with 2 runs scored.

For Whiting, Mitch Lang went 2-2 with a walk. Ken Lavrich went 1-3.

Jack Liepheimer got the win on the rubber for Prospects. He went 6 innings giving up 0 runs on 4 hits. He struck out a pair.

PROSPECTS FAST OFF THE JUMP

STRUTHERS OH-

Prospects put up eight runs in the first on its way to a 10-3 victory over Eaglewear on Tuesday.  The big bats were led by Caleb Hadley, Cobey Airwikie, Michael Condoleon, Montgomery Hart, and Kris Hrosar, all driving in runs in the inning.

Prospects got on the board in the first inning when Hadley drew a walk, scoring one run.

Airwyke earned the win for Prospects. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out one.

Sam Barber took the loss for Eaglewear. He surrendered four runs on three hits over four innings, striking out one and walking one.

Freddy Bolchalk went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Prospects in hits.
