SALEM FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 1 WITH RON JOHNSON)

It’s football season in Columbiana County, and one team looking to build on what they accomplished last year will be the Quakers of Salem High School. After going 6-4 last season, the Quakers start their season this Friday against Crestview, with both teams looking to pick up a huge win to start 2019.

 

In this episode, Coach Johnson talks about how football truly has no offseason, how the team will look after graduating FIFTEEN seniors, and plenty more. It still might be Summer, but the pigskin is about to fly, and the Quakers are ready to try and make it five straight seasons with a winning record.

It’s time.  THE game has arrived for the Quakers this week!  The Annual Week 10 War with West Branch has arrived!

A convincing win against Garfield and all the sudden the playoffs are within reach.  Coach RonJohn and his troops are geared up and ready to battle on a Saturday Night!

Salem’s side is going to be packed with red and black, and Week 11 is on the line.

However, another week presents itself, and the Quakers look to get back to full strength and the Quakers hit the road to Minerva to take on the Lions!

After a tough weather week in the Valley, The Quakers were forced to call an audible and play on Saturday.  Coach Johnson isn’t one to make excuses and toughed things out with his troops short-handed in week five.  The Quakers came up short, but not for lack of effort.

However, another week presents itself, and the Quakers look to get back to full strength and home cooking doesn’t hurt as the Quakes look to grab the oars in Reilly Stadium to take on Marlington.
