SALEM, OH – YSN’s own Jarrod Niederhiser had the opportunity to sit down with Coach Ron Johnson ahead of Salem’s week 5 matchup with Padua Franciscan this week.

He spoke about his team’s continuous improvement and hard work, as well as growth as individuals as leaders and young men. He also talked about his squad’s mentality heading into week 5 and beyond.

SALEM, OH – I caught up with Salem head football coach Ron Johnson as he and the Quakers prepare themselves for the 2023 season opener against Poland. Coach Johnson talked about the summer program and the build up to kickoff, as well as all the many new faces this season and how they look to adopt their “next man up” mentality moving forward through out the year.

SALEM FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP 4) WITH RON JOHNSON

SALEM OH- Salem is flying high coming in to Week 6. In their last appearance the Quakers hit a walk off field goal to earn a victory over a Padua Franciscan. Week 6 is when the fun begins as Salem opens up EBC play with Alliance. The Aviators were able to beat Salem last season, so the Quakers will be looking for revenge. Alliance is coming off a dominant victory over the same Canton Central Catholic team that handed the Quakers their only loss. It should be interesting in Quaker Country for a Week 6 brawl.

SALEM OH-  I caught up with Salem Head football coach Ron Johnson before his week 3 matchup with East Liverpool. Coach Johnson touched on how happy he was with the week one grinder with Crestview, and the offensive improvements that led to the explosion in week 2 against Beaver Local. He talked about the newer guys improving and getting reps as they prepared for week 3 and beyond, and how important it is for all the guys to gain experience.

SALEM, OH – It’s football season in Columbiana county, and one team looking to take the county and conference by storm is the Salem Quakers. Head coach, Ron Johnson, is eager to get back on the field and build upon last season. The Quakers will kick off their season this Thursday on the road at Crestview, with both teams looking to pick up a huge win to start the 2021 campaign.

YSN’s own, Jerrod Niederhiser, got to catch up with Coach Johnson to talk some football and preview the 2021 Salem Quakers. Not only did they outline the team and schedule, they discussed the expectations and what Coach thinks the Quakes can achieve this season.
