WELLSVILLE COACH’S CORNER WITH MOOSE RAMSEY (EP 3)

The Tigers are still earning their stripes so far, but the bright lights will shine tonight as Wellsville opens up the Jungle one last time in 2018.  Senior Night means a changing of the guard, lots of emotion as they take on the Leetonia Bears.

This game has all the makings for a heightened battle, and YSN’s Gary Althiser gets you all the info you need to prep for the Blue Devils.

Check in with the Moose, as he gets ready to uncage the Tigers in our third episode of Wellsville Football Coach’s Corner.

SUGGS HAS SIZZLE

We’ve heard it all before.  “That’s the best catch you will EVER see!”

Listen to us.  Last week.  Southern vs. Wellsville.  Darien Suggs.  THE. BEST. CATCH. YOU. WILL. EVER. SEE.

We’ve talked for the last year about how Darien Suggs is a special talent.  One that doesn’t come along every generation.  The young man continues to impress, and D-Sizzle has more substance than he is flash, but full disclosure: he makes it look really good too.

A senior looking for an opportunity at the next level, it’s moments like these that will make him an impact wherever he goes.

Offense.  Defense.  Darien Suggs is the guy that gets it done!

YSN’s Gary Althiser checks in with Darien prior to the Leetonia game this week for the Wellsville Player Profile: SUGGS HAS SIZZLE

THE REIGN OF TROY

Only in his second year, Wellsville Sophomore Troy Carter is making a name for himself not only in Tigertown but all over the tri-state area.  Carter’s maturity in the pocket has propelled Wellsville to a game that nobody takes lightly.

With only two weeks to go, Carter and the Tigers look to turn their attention to Leetonia which will be the final home game in the Jungle this year!

YSN’s Gary Althiser catches up with the Sophomore standout prior to last week’s Black and Blue Brawl and asks him about preparation, and how he feels about the growth process as the offensive leader of this team!

All that and more in Wellsville’s Player Profile: THE REIGN OF TROY

A ROLE OF THE TICE

When Wellsville Junior Jason Tice took the field this year it was a feeling of deja vu.  After a year off to focus on his wrestling career, Tice came back to Coach Ramsey’s Brigade a different football player.

One that is faster, smarter, and more focused.  This early start to the Tigers season has been spotlighted by numerous outlets, and have garnered the attention and recognition from the state in regards to their rankings.

The season comes to midway this week, and our Gary Althiser checks in with the Tiger standout to find out exactly what is: A ROLE OF THE TICE

WEEKLEY IS STRONG IN WELLSVILLE

It’s been a turnaround season down in Wellsville, and one of the big reasons is one of the main guys up front who rarely takes a snap off, and that man is Caden Weekley.

After a big win against EOAC foe Lisbon, Weekley and the Tigers are on the hunt for their first conference title.

Our Gary Althiser sits down with Wellsville Sophomore, Caden Weekley to discuss how this Tiger team is growing daily.

This week’s Wellsville Player Profile is: WEEKLEY IS STRONG IN WELLSVILLE!

WELLSVILLE COACH’S CORNER WITH MOOSE RAMSEY (EP 1)
