CREEKSIDE BLOWS AWAY ROTH BROTHERS

STRUTHERS OH- It started out looking like a pitching duel Thursday night between Roth Brothers and Creekside. The first 3 innings were scoreless. But Creekside broke the dam in the 4th with a run, and then flooded the Roth Brothers pitching staff with five in the 5th and 4 in the 6th. Creekside’s pitching never wavered on the other end, cementing a 10-0 win.

Thomas Koch had a fantastic day at the plate for Creekside going 3-3 with  2 RBI. Grant Voytovich went 1-3 with 4 RBI.

Cam Hollobaugh got the lone hit for Roth Brothers.

Nick Rispoli got the win for Creekside throwing 5 innings of 1 hit baseball. Brady Hanson finished out the game.

Abe Bayus tossed three scoreless innings for Roth Brothers.

 

CREEKSIDE OUTSHINES AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH-

Wednesday was a long day for the Avalanche 14u team,bfalling to   Creekside 10-2.

The Avalanche got things started in the first inning.  Mark Cattron singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

  Creekside pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning.  Aiden Dominguez was hit by a pitch, driving in a run and Tyson Tarajack drew a walk, scoring one run.

  Creekside scored four runs in the fourth inning.  Offense in the inning was led by Tarajack, Tyler Mikulin, and Alex Stowe, who each had RBIs.

Mikulin was the winning pitcher for   Creekside. He went two innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out two.  Jacob Werner and Tj Richey entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Chandler Maurice took the loss for the Avalanche. He lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit and two runs while striking out one.

Zac Lanschak, David Moyer, Cattron, and Maurice each collected one hit to lead the Avalanche.

  Creekside totaled seven hits.  Donovan Bell-sullivan and Mikulin each had multiple hits.

LATE OFFENSE PUSHES AVALANCHE BY EAGLEWEAR

STRUTHERS OH-

Avalanche‘s 14U team snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-4 victory over Eaglewear on Wednesday.  The game was tied at four with the Avalanche  batting in the top of the fourth when Santino Piccirilli doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

The Avalanche got things moving in the first inning, when Mark Cattron singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Eaglewear knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the second inning, when Alex Zordich drew a walk, scoring one run.

Hunter Stelter was credited with the victory for Avalanche. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over two and a third innings, striking out three and walking one.  Zach Livosky and Zac Lanschak entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Dom  Ratkovich took the loss for Eaglewear He lasted two innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out two and walking one.

 William Moore started the game for the Avalanche. He allowed two hits and two runs, walking one

The Avalanche totaled 13 hits.  Derek Douglas, Cattron, Piccirilli, and Lanschak each collected multiple hits for Youngstown Class B  Avalanche  14u.  Lanschak, Piccirilli, Cattron, and Douglas each collected two hits to lead them.

CREEKSIDE SHUTS DOWN CSA

STRUTHERS OH-

Tyson Tarajack threw a shutout to lead  Creekside past Youngstown Complete Sports Academy 12-0 on Wednesday.

 Creekside secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the first inning.    Creekside’s big bats were led by Tj Richey, Michael Patellis, Ryan Carpenter, Aaron Doughty, Tarajack, and  Tyler Mikulin, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

In the first inning,   Creekside got their offense started when Richey drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Carson Fuller in the first inning was a positive for CSA.

Tarajack was the winning pitcher for   Creekside. He surrendered zero runs on three hits over five innings, striking out 13.

Isaiah Torres took the loss for CSA. He allowed zero hits and six runs over one-third of an inning.

Creekside hit one home run on the day. Alex Stowe put one out in the fifth inning.

Brady Loew, Stowe, Richey, Doughty, and Jacob Werner each collected one hit to lead   Creekside.

DURA EDGE FLEXES ON PROSPECTS

STRUTHERS OH- Dura Edge used a steady offense to topple the Prospects on Tuesday night 9-3. Edge scored a run in every inning, including a big three run 5th to put the game away. Before that big inning, the Prospects cut the lead to 5-3 with a 3 spot in the 4th.

Kyle Yost went 2-3 for Dura Edge with  2 RBI and he scored 3 runs. Caleb Jones also had 2 RBI going 1-4.

Jake Hettrick went 1-2 for the Prospects and collected 2 RBI. Luca Bertolasio also went 1-2 and scored a run.

Three Dura Edge pitchers threw 2 innings a piece. Brady Shannon struck out 6 while Josh Reed and Braden Gebhart threw two shutout innings.

 

BALLISTIC BURSTS AHEAD AND HOLDS BACK AVALANCHE

STRUTHERS OH- Ballistic Baseball jumped out to a 3-0 lead right out of the gates in the 1st inning. The Avalanche kept inching closer scoring a run in the 3rd and 5th innings. Ballistic was able to hang on though as they came away with the 3-2 win.

Andrew Cupon gathered the lone RBI for the victorious Ballistic team. He went 1-1. Marc Conti was the only player in the lineup to get multiple hits going 2-2.

Paxton Grimes went 1-3 for the Avalanche with an RBI. Lucas Cummings mirrored those numbers going 1-3 as well with an RBI.

Dalton Curron got the win on the mound for Ballistic Baseball. He tossed 3 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits. He struck out 3.

Tim West pitched 3 innings for the Avalanche giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits and striking out 4.

CREEKSIDE PITCHING DAZZLES IN WIN

STRUTHERS OH- Logan Cayavec threw six strong innings in Creekside’s 3-1 win over Roth Brothers. Creekside scored two in the 4th, and one in the sixth. Roth Brothers scores an unearned run in the 7th but that’s all they could scratch across.

Danny Smith had a good day at the plate for Creekside going 2-3 with a RBI. Jack Desmond also added an RBI going 1-3.

Jordan Streamo gathered the lone RBI for Roth Brothers going 1-3. Austin Ward went 1-2.

Logan Cayavec threw six innings giving up no earned runs. He gave up 4 hits and struck out 6.

Alec Gryzb was a tough luck loser on the mound for Roth Brothers. He gave up 3 hits and 1 earned run in 4 innings pitched. He also struck out 5.

ASTRO FALCONS SURVIVE SCARE AGAINST CREEKSIDE

STRUTHERS OH- The Astro Falcons survives a tough competitive Creekside team in a 4-3 win on Monday at Bob Cene Park. Creekside took the early 1-0 lead in the 2nd. The Falcons looked like they took control with a four run 3rd to respond, but Creekside scored 2 in the bottom of the 6th to make the Falcons have to sweat this one out.

Dom Pilolli has 2 RBI for the Falcons going 1-3. Aiden Shepard was the only Falcon with multiple hits going 2-2 and scoring a run.

BJ Arnold went 2-2 with a RBI for Creekside, while Brandon Lane went 2-3.

John McCullough got the win on the mound for the Falcons, going 4 IP with 1 ER on 3 H and 7 K.

Andrew Vance was impressive for Creekside throwing 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts.

EAGLE WEAR WINS SLUGFEST OVER DURA EDGE

STRUTHERS OH- Eagle Wear took an early 2-0 lead in the 1st on Monday night setting the tone for what would be a high scoring affair. After Dura Edge took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 3rd, Eagle Wear responded with a 5 spot making it 7-3. Dura Edge would eventually cut it to 7-5, but Eagle Wear added an insurance run in the 5th to cap off a 8-5 victory.

Teddy Ruffner had a huge day at the plate for Eagle Wear going 2-3 with 3 RBI. Matt Womer went 1-3 with 2 RBI.

William Schaffer had the big day for Dura Edge going 2-4 with 3 RBI. Joey Perfette went 2-2 with a RBI.

Josh Corll got the win for Eagle Wear going 4 IP with 5 ER and 3 K. He threw 91 pitches.
