TIGERS RUN RIGHT INTO A DISTRICT SEMIFINAL

BERLIN CENTER OH- In the sectional final showdown between Newton Falls and Windham, it was Newton Falls who emerged victorious in a convincing manner. The Tigers dominated the match with a resounding 3-0 win, securing their passage to the next round with set scores of 25-17, 25-9, and 25-19.

Newton Falls showcased a well-rounded performance with notable individual contributions. Dani Drake was instrumental in orchestrating the team’s offense, tallying an impressive 27 assists, ensuring her teammates were in optimal positions to score.

Lauryn Bervish exhibited her versatility, amassing 20 points and making 10 crucial digs, underlining her importance as a key player on both sides of the net. Jada Blutcher made her presence felt with 11 kills, adding to the team’s offensive firepower, while Torrie Fanton showcased her all-around game with 17 points and 12 digs.

With this dominant performance, Newton Falls secured their place in the next round, where they will face Western Reserve. The upcoming matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24th, at Columbiana High School, with a 6:00 pm start time.
