TVAROCH’S ONE HITTER HIGHLIGHTS TIGERS VICTORY

Sophie Tvaroch threw a gem on Thursday for Newton Falls, allowing zero runs and besting Jackson Milton by a score of 12-0

Newton Falls was boosted by Joe’l Hood who went 4-for-4 at the plate. Hood singled in the first, singled in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.

The Tigers got things started in the first inning when Zoe McElrath singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Newton Falls put up four runs in the fourth inning. Their batters contributing to the big inning included Hood and McElrath, all driving in runs in the frame.

A single by Chelsea Williams in the third inning was a positive for Jackson Milton .

Tvaroch got the win for Newton Falls. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out ten.

Macayle Thornhill took the loss for Jackson Milton . Thornhill surrendered eight runs on 12 hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

Newton Falls collected 15 hits on the day. Hood, Emiy Knight , McElrath, and Lexie Drake each collected multiple hits. Hood went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.

Williams led Jackson Milton with one hit in three at bats.
