VIKINGS DEFENSE UP FOR THE TASK

MINERAL RIDGE,OH- The Waterloo Vikings traveled to the Ridge tonight to take on the Lady Rams. It was a very fast paced and back and forth first half as the Rams defense was on que. Waterloo led 19-13 at the half.

Waterloo adjusted heavily on the defensive side during the second half only allowing the Rams to score just 1 point in the 3rd quarter and just 6 in the 4th quarter.

Waterloo was led by Kaira English, who attacked the paint and dropped 22 points. Rose Couts also added 11 points for the Vikings. Ava Hulet came up with 8 points as she led the Rams in scoring. Olivia Booth had a strong defensive game and put up 3 points for the Rams, but it was not enough as the Rams fell short to the Vikings 34-20.

Mineral Ridge will be back in action against Western Reserve on Saturday. Waterloo will take on Springfield at home on Monday.
