WEST BRANCH WALTZES FORWARD

BELOIT OH- The sectional tournament is officially under way in Ohio. The West Branch Warriors faced Kenston on Tuesday in a sectional semifinal. West Branch used a strong offense to take out Kenston 7-2.

West Branch got things moving in the first inning, when Addi Craven tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

The Warriors notched three runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Libbie Davis and Josie Milliken.

Klary McKay toed the rubber for West Branch. The hurler allowed five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Devan McCabe was in the pitcher’s circle for Kenston. The righty allowed eight hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out two.

The Warriors racked up eight hits on the day. Milliken and Davis all managed multiple hits. Milliken led with three hits in four at bats.

Angela Kale went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Bombers in hits.
