DEVILS SHOW NO MERCY AGAINST WELLSVILLE
LISBON, OH-The Lisbon Blue Devils Varsity defeated Wellsville 11-1 on Wednesday thanks to a timely six runs in a big fourth inning. Brayden Flory, Hunter Sturgeon, Haiden Colvin, and Gage Owens all drove in runs in the frame.
Sturgeon was credited with the victory for Lisbon. Sturgeon lasted five innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out five.
Wilson took the loss for Wellsville. The bulldog went three innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out three.
The Blue Devils totaled ten hits in the game. Daimen McCormick, Owens, and Sturgeon all collected multiple hits for Lisbon. Sturgeon, Owens, and McCormick each collected two hits to lead the team.
Ramsey led Wellsville with two hits in three at-bats.
