MCDONALD OH- In a display of sheer dominance, McDonald’s softball team powered past Lowellville with a commanding 13-0 victory on Monday.
The offensive fireworks were led by Aubrey Evans, who went a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate, driving in 1 run and crossing the plate 3 times. Miley Titus and Marissa Colarich each contributed with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, while Kayla Helco added to the onslaught with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored.
But it wasn’t just the offense that shined for McDonald; their pitching was equally impressive. Isabella O’Brien took the mound and delivered three flawless innings, allowing zero hits, zero runs, and striking out 8 batters. Bri McCombs continued the shutout performance with two innings of her own, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 4.
