AUER BECOMES PROGRAM KILL LEADER IN ANOTHER CRESTVIEW SWEEP

Crestview continued to assert their dominance in the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference (MVAC) with another commanding sweep, this time on the road against Campbell. The final scores of 25-6, 25-11, and 25-8 showcased Crestview’s ability to control the match and secure a decisive victory.

Crestview’s players delivered standout performances, contributing to the team’s impressive win. Abbey Emch displayed her scoring prowess with an exceptional 14 kills, further solidifying her reputation as a reliable source of points for her team. Emch’s versatility was evident as she also contributed 13 digs, achieving a double-double for the match.

Grace Auer was a force to be reckoned with, tallying 12 kills and 17 assists, showcasing her ability to both score and set up her teammates effectively. Her all-around performance included 2 blocks and 2 aces, emphasizing her versatility and impact on the game. Auer broke the program record for kills in a career. It was previously held by MacKenzie Daub who graduated in 2018.  The record was 1042. Auer is currently at 1,048.  Julia Blasko added 10 kills and 9 digs, further bolstering Crestview’s offensive efforts.

Lainy Auer orchestrated the team’s offense with precision, tallying an impressive 23 assists, while also contributing 7 kills and 8 digs. Her ability to set up her teammates and contribute defensively was instrumental in Crestview’s success. She also added 2 aces to her performance.

Crestview’s ability to dominate all facets of the game was evident in this sweep. Their consistency, teamwork, and execution allowed them to secure a convincing win on the road.

With this victory, Crestview looks ahead to their next challenge as they return home to host McDonald on Monday. Their impressive performance in this match will undoubtedly serve as a source of confidence and motivation as they continue their successful journey in the world of high school volleyball and the MVAC.
