BATTLE OF THE BLUE DEVILS GOES TO LISBON

BERLIN CENTER, OH – On a night that saw two talented teams compete in a non-conference game that has the potential to play a significant role in the seeding process for the state playoffs, it was the Lisbon Blue Devils that knocked off the Western Reserve Blue Devils on Tuesday night.

The two squads were very balanced and as the night progressed, each team took their shot at trying to establish themselves ahead of the other. Western Reserve fought hard to keep it close as the second half ticked away, but at the end of the night, Lisbon’s duo of Ryan McCullough and Blayne Brownfield, proved to be too much for Western Reserve to handle, as Lisbon won 51-45.

Lisbon was led by Blayne Brownfield, who finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds, Ryan McCullough also chipped in with 15 points and 6 assists, while Michael Davis added in 10 points.

Lisbon (6-8) will return home on Friday, January 24th, to take on the Southern Indians in EOAC play.
