BLUE JAYS EARN THIRD STRAIGHT WIN IN TROPHY GAME WITH RESERVE

BERLIN CENTER OH- The matchup Tuesday night between Jackson Milton and Western Reserve gave you everything you could ask for out of a rivalry game. The atmosphere was electric, and both student sections were wild. To top all of it off, there are always stakes in this game. In the second matchup between these two teams every year, the winner is presented the Bud James Presidential Memorial Trophy. For the third straight season, that trophy will stay in North Jackson as the Blue Jays won a thriller 44-43. Ryan Romigh hit the game winning layup through contact with about 10 seconds to go.

Cayden Mitchell led the Blue Jays on the night scoring 15 points. He set the tone early for the Jays offense. Aiden Stanke was also in double figures with 11. Aaren Romigh came up with an important 9 points for the cause.

Western Reserve was paced by Hayden Fellows with 14 points. Joe Serensky scored 12 to supplement the Devils scoring.

Both teams return to action on Friday as Jackson Milton hosts Mineral Ridge, and Western Reserve travels to Sebring.
