BULLDOGS BOUNCE BACK OVER GIRARD

GIRARD, OH- Tyler Capan drove in four on three hits to lead Lakeview past Girard 14-4 on Tuesday. Capan drove in runs on a single in the second, a double in the fifth, and a single in the sixth.

Girard took an early lead in the first inning as Jake Dohy grounded out, scoring one run.

However, Lakeview took the lead for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Gavin Mauger singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Capan singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Jake Wilms singled scoring one run, Nick Demonica grounded out, scoring one run, and Cal Rinck singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one as well.

YSN alum, Stephen Pavlansky toed the rubber for LakeviewPavlansky went six innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and striking out seven.

Andrew DelGarbino was on the mound for Girard. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and nine runs while striking out one and walking one. Cody Wylie and Kyle Bourlier entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.

Lakeview Varsity racked up 15 hits on the day. CapanWilmsRinckAlex Stowe, and Demonica all managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Wilms and Capan each managed three hits to lead the offense

Girard saw the ball well today also, racking up eight hits in the game. Jayden Maggs and Anthony Cortese each managed multiple hits for Girard.
