BULLDOGS GET THE GREEN LIGHT

CANFIELD OH- In a thrilling opening game at the South Range Holliday Hoops Classic, a young Green girls basketball team faced a formidable challenge but emerged victorious in a back-and-forth tussle against St Joes Academy, securing a hard-fought 48-43 win.

Green’s standout player, Jenna Slates, delivered a stellar performance, notching an impressive double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Sydney Shockley added 12 points to the scoreboard, contributing significantly to the Bulldogs’ success. Ava Kouri chipped in 5 points to round out the scoring for Green.

St Joes Academy fought tenaciously, with Morgan Wersch leading the scoring effort with 12 points. Mya White and Melanie Alvavenga each added 11 points, keeping the game tightly contested until the final buzzer.
