CARDINALS SOAR PAST NDCL

CANFIELD OH-The Canfield Cardinals hosted Notre Dame Cathedral Latin in week one of the high school football playoffs. The Cardinals got off to a hot start and never looked back.

Canfield kicked the football away to start the game, and got a stop right near midfield. The Cardinals were pinned inside their own five, until Broc Lowry busted away for a 93 yard touchdown run to get the Cardinals on the board. The Cardinals went on a 35-0 run to end the half and went into the locker room up by 35.

The Cardinals would get on the board one more time in the second half, but gave up two late touchdowns to win the ballgame 42-14.

Broc Lowry finished the ballgame with 148 yards rushing and 130 yards passing while completing 5-6 passing attempts. Senior tailback Mike Crawford had a great night with multiple touchdowns to guide the Cardinals on the ground. Canfield will host Hubbard at home next Friday at 7. Catch all the action on YSN!
