NEW MIDDLETOWN, OH – The Springfield Tigers played host to Monroeville in the first round of the playoffs last week and came away with a 35-21 victory. Two seniors, Kolten Ruark and Tyler Young led the charge for the Tigers as they helped pace Springfield all night long. Up next for the Tigers is going to be a long bus ride down to Mount Vernon to take on the #2 seeded Danville on Friday night.

YSN’s own, Steve Leslie, sat down with Kolten and Tyler this week at the Tiger’s Table to talk about the first round match up against Monroeville, what the boys did well and what they want to do moving forward to keep the momentum going, what their keys to victory are for this week, and so much more!

GARRETTSVILLE, OH-In the small town of Garrettsville, the Garfield High School football team was making waves with its undefeated season. On the YSN podcast, host Chris Colucci sat down with running back Keegan Sell for a player profile interview.

Keegan, a hardworking and dedicated athlete, spoke about the team’s goal of getting 1% better every week. He emphasized the importance of this mindset in their success. Chris, being a wrestler himself, connected with Keegan’s wrestling coach’s mantra of getting 1% better every day, which resonated with both of them.
