LIABILITY WAIVER FOR PLAYERS/PARENTS

ROBINSON IS READY

AUSTINTOWN, OH- It is an old cliché that defense wins championships, and the Austintown Fitch
Falcons have a plethora of weapons that can help them do just that. Brian Robinson, one of the most
highly touted players in the state of Ohio in his class, helps control a Fitch defensive line that wreaks
havoc on a weekly basis. Robinson, a consensus 4-star national recruit, currently holds 34 Division 1
offers, including the likes of Georgia, Michigan, Texas A&M, USC, and Notre Dame. He leads the Falcons
in multiple defensive categories including total tackles (63), and tackles-for-loss (15.5), sacks (7).
In this week’s Player Profile, Brian talks about his recruiting process, how dangerous this defense can be,
this week’s match up with Akron St. Vincent St. Mary, and more!

THE LIST OF TOP FOOTBALL SCHOLARSHIPS IN 2023

Football scholarships are the competitive areas in the world of sports scholarships. However, you can find full scholarships in football more frequently than in any other sport. Such scholarships are strictly regulated by the NCAA. It means there is a lot of emphasis not only on talent but also on academic achievement, as all those who receive scholarships must meet specific GPA requirements.

Many major schools have recruiters who are aware of school football field talent, and marketing students’ skills have become an essential part of getting a football scholarship. Because it is a high-attendance sport and often used as a fundraising tool for alumni, those selected for full-time runs at major universities must consider themselves part of a professional group of athletes.

However, in schools where football is not presented as a way of life, and there is more emphasis on academics, it may be easier to get into the football team, but you have to compete for a scholarship with the help of your academic performance. Remember that one of the prerequisites for a scholarship is writing an essay. If you attend football all the time and don’t have time to write such a paper, you can find writers for scholarship essay. You will get an excellent piece of work that can grab the attention of the commission and bring you closer to a scholarship.

The list of top football scholarships in 2023

Athletic Grant from the Augustana University

Through their generosity, they offer many scholarships to students. Students must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of Augustana enrollment in order to retain these scholarships in future years. These scholarships are awarded to talented student-athletes. The amount available may vary. You need to contact the head coach for getting an application form. If you need more information or want to apply, visit the grant provider’s website.

Joe Cribari Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a graduate of one of the four football teams related to Poudre School District High School. The candidate must demonstrate leadership qualities, good sportsmanship, and perfect data in football. Applicants should also have a GPA of 3.5 or higher to be admitted to any degree-granting college or university. An essay is required about post-high school plans, career goals, and reasons for this choice. If you need more information or want to apply, visit the website of the scholarship provider.

Mike Lozano Scholarship

They award the Mike Lozano Scholarship annually to high school graduate athletes from the 26 northernmost counties in the Texas Panhandle. Keep in mind that a minimum GPA of 2.0 is required, and students should be interested in getting a degree in education or coaching to become teachers or coaches at the high school level after college graduation. If you need more information or want to apply, visit the website of a scholarship provider.

Scholarships for studying in the USA can be received not only by Americans but also by citizens of other countries. The US continues to be a land of opportunity. Every year, a wide range of grants and scholarships are allocated for education and research. Each program has its own purpose and requirements for applicants.

The money allocated by the government and non-government organizations has its own goals. In accordance with them, the programs are given names.

Grants are a good alternative to traditional scholarships. As a rule, they are allocated within certain areas of activity and require reporting from recipients on what has been achieved.

How much are American universities willing to spend on foreign students?

The American education system is organized in such a way that the prestige of each educational institution, as in colleges in Canada, is significantly influenced by the achievements of its graduates. This makes university leaders look for strong students not only in their own country but also abroad.

On average, $15,000–25,000 are allocated per gifted student. Usually, each applicant for a grant or scholarship is approached individually. The most promising and gifted young people can receive a scholarship for several years of education and be fully supported, up to food and accommodation.

How to get an academic scholarship?

As already noted, American universities can partially or fully cover the cost of education for foreign students. In the second case, the conditions for obtaining aid are extremely stringent. Many foreigners, in their last years of study, begin to explore the possibilities of studying abroad. The United States is considered one of the most promising and difficult options. Becoming a member of the programs offered by the country is difficult but possible.

You can choose the program yourself or use the help of special companies that offer assistance in entering foreign universities. The services of such assistants are not cheap. But the probability of admission if you apply to a reliable institution is also higher.

What do applicants to US universities need to know?

You can apply for both undergraduate and graduate programs. First, you should study the proposed specializations for the availability of the required one. To send to the admission committee, you need to collect the following documents:

  • everything related to obtaining previous education: it can be a certificate, a statement with grades;
  • if you are a foreigner, add language proficiency test results: TOEFL or IELTS;
  • a letter in English indicating the reasons why you decided to continue your studies at the chosen university.

Send your applications to a few universities at once. With good grades, you will get a number of proposals and choose the most promising ones.

In most cases, scholarships are assigned on an individual basis. The higher the results of the applicant, the more generous offer awaits them. It is important to take into account that the university signs a contract with scholarship holders, which specifies not only prospects but also obligations, as well as sanctions that will be applied to the student if they do not fulfill them.

Now you know where to get the best football scholarships and how to do it right. Good luck!

LYNCH IS LEGIT

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- There have been many memorable names of running backs that have come
through the Mahoning Valley over the years on the gridiron, and there’s a good chance that when it’s all
said and done Christian Lynch can be a name that you can add to that list. Only a junior, Lynch has been
the workhorse for an Ursuline offense that has been one of the most explosive across the valley this
season, and he hopes to continue to ride the wave of this season all the way through Week 16.

Arguably Lynch’s most remarkable performance thus far came a few weeks ago in a marquee Steel-Valley
Conference showdown with then-undefeated Youngstown Chaney. Christian put on a show in front of a
packed house at Rayen Stadium, rushing for 244 yards on 37 carries, finding the end zone four times.
Ursuline was able to squeak out a victory against the Cowboys 30-27, giving Chaney their first loss on
the season.
In this week’s Player Profile, Lynch talks about his incredible start to the season, taking over for a back
like DeMarcus McElroy, what to look for in this week’s match up against Youngstown East, and more! Brought to you by:

THE BEST LITERATURE FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES TO MAKE THEM BELIEVE IN SUCCESS

A sport is a world that has understandable and fair rules: self-improvement, fair play,
training, and the uncertainty of the outcome in advance. That is why it is engaging
(albeit problematic) to do sports. Students-athletes sometimes experience setbacks
and lose crucial competitions. They constantly need moral support and advice on how
to achieve their goals and become successful.

Reading is considered an effective way of self-help as meditation, relaxation, or yoga.
Famous sportsmen's biographies and memoirs are always fascinating to readers.
Constant competition and the desire to become better motivate students to conquer
new peaks. Only strong people remain in professional sports. Here are books about
athletes who may not have been at the top all the time, but they got there.

“Open: An Autobiography” by Andrea Agassi

Motivational literature about athletes inspires them to do sports and achieve success.
Andrea Agassi is a world-famous tennis player. In his book, he told that his chief
opponent was not the opponent on the opposite side of the court but himself.
Moreover, Agassi hated tennis, and his father pushed him to the court from an early
age. He felt unhappy, but at the same time, it allowed him to go tournament after
tournament to the status of an absolute champion.
How can students find free time for reading?

The sportsman’s student life is often overloaded with constant training and much
homework. Students sometimes get the task to write an essay on best-selling books
like “Parable of the Sower” by Octavia Butler, but do not know how to start. In this
case, you can use relevant “Parable of the Sower” essays to get some ideas. It is an
optimal solution to be inspired by essay samples. Expert writers share their essay examples online. It is a free and simple way to start working and get a high academic score.

“Management in the Style of Manchester” by Michael Moritz and Alex
Ferguson
In sports, not only the game itself plays an important role, but also training,
management, and building a team climate. In this vein, the book “Management in the
Style of Manchester” is engaging. The legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson invites
on a journey through the world of leadership. Consistency, patience, and
perseverance are the fundamental principles of sportsmen’s paths.
After a fantastic career as a player and manager, he provides valuable lessons that can
be useful for student-athletes. In the epilogue, you can learn exactly how to
implement the principles of leadership in your daily routine, family, or running a
large or small business.

“Never Stop” by Marie Karachina.

Marie Karachina is a fitness trainer, the founder of the Skinny & Strong Club sports
club, a sports consultant, and a participant in world marathons . She wrote the book to
share her own experience of organizing life, hardening willpower, and spirit, and the
ability to set goals and achieve them. The author is convinced that running is more
than a sport. It is the best way to get new thoughts, ideas, and energy. In addition,
Marie shares a training program and practical tips for beginners, as well as advice for
those who are about to run a half-marathon.

“How Bad Do You Want It?: Mastering the Psychology of Mind over Muscle”
by Matt Fitzgerald
Matt Fitzgerald is one of the most successful endurance sports and nutrition authors.
The book “How Bad Do You Want It?: Mastering the Psychology of Mind over
Muscle” reveals how our mindset affects physical and athletic performance. As
examples, the author uses real stories from the lives of the world’s best athletes and
scientific evidence. The book can be read as a fascinating biography and as a
practical guide that will help increase your endurance with the help of the correct
psychological attitude.

Conclusion
Striving for their goals and dreams, students are often afraid to step out of their
comfort zone and feel insecure. They simply lack some energy or a portion of
inspiration. And as a result, athletes give up in helplessness. But don’t panic!
Basically, books on motivation come in handy in such situations.
They do not only show the path to success but also serve as an ideal recharge of the
mental battery. After all, a good book has healing powers. It can heal mental wounds
after failure and teach students to enjoy each second of life. Good literature
transforms certain life beliefs, and serves as a kind of “kick.”

Author’s Bio
Sylvester Greer is fond of books about motivation and is keen on reading. He spends
a lot of time doing sports and knows how challenging it can be. Sylvester finds it
inspiring to help students to cope with their essays, papers, and assignments.

CHANEY FOOTBALL COACH’S CORNER (EP. 4) WITH SETH ANTRAM

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio- The Chaney Cowboys have had a very impressive start to the season, with wins
over Poland, Boardman, and Mooney. The Cowboys’ defense has yet to give up at least 20 points in a
game so far this season, with their 17 points given up last week being the most so far.
Head Coach Seth Antrum has brought energy from Day 1 to this Chaney locker room since his return in December 2021. With multiple college prospects on the field at all times, it makes this Chaney team one of the most fun teams to watch in the Mahoning Valley.
In this week’s Coaches Corner, Coach Antram talks about the tradition of this Chaney program and the excitement surrounding their first home game of the year on the new turf at Rayen Stadium, as well as what to look forward to this week against Marlington. The Cowboy’s opponent is still searching for their first win of the season. Here is our week 4 coach’s corner with Seth Antram, brought to you by:

AMILL THE THRILL AND WALLER THE BALLER

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- Following a long line of family success in the sport of Football in the Mahoning
Valley, Jason Amill-Austin has lived up to the family name. Amill-Austin has been one of the most
explosive play-makers for the Cowboys these past two years and has high hopes for his Senior campaign.
Chaney, who runs a very quick-paced offense, has leaned on Amill-Austin during many situations in the backfield taking a load of carries.Jason is one of many players on the roster who not only excels on the field but is also a great person off the field as well. Learn about Jason’s family, his favorite parts of the game, his expectations for this season, and more!

The Chaney Cowboys are loaded with talent in 2022, and you can’t look much
further than Division 1 prospect DJ Waller to identify that talent. Waller, a verbal commit to the
University of Toledo, is just one of many skill-position assets for the Cowboys that can change the
momentum of a game with just a small bit of open space.
DJ, who is also a standout on the basketball court for a Cowboys program that has won three-
consecutive district titles, plays both ways for the Cowboys, and looks to make a difference on the
defensive side of the ball at the next level. As the season progresses, Waller will have to continue
playing a big role for a Chaney team with some big, but reachable, goals here this Fall.
