CHAMPION PERSISTS PAST THE PANTHERS

WARREN OH- Gabrielle Gradishar struck out 11 batters as they led Champion  past Perry 4-1 on Saturday at Champion High School. Gradishar surrendered three hits and one run over seven innings while walking one.

The Flashes got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Sam Strock grounded out, and Hailey Householder singled, each scoring one run. They added one run in the third after Isabella Meyer doubled. Gradishar also hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fifth.

Gradishar and Meyer each collected two hits for Champion. Gradishar, Strock, and Meyer each drove in one run on the day.
