CIAMBOTTI LEADS THE WAY AS EAGLES TAKE DOWN HERALDS

Warren, OH- Santino Ciambotti’s impressive performance propelled the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles to a commanding 12-2 victory over St. John on Wednesday. Ciambotti’s bat came alive as he drove in four runs on three hits, including two crucial singles in the fourth and fifth innings, each scoring two runs.

The scoring action began early for the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles, with Caleb Hadley’s single and an error by St. John in the bottom of the first inning, allowing two runs to cross the plate.

Despite St. John briefly tying the game at two in the top of the fourth inning, the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles quickly regained control. In the bottom of the fourth, they exploded for six runs on four hits, taking an 8-2 lead. Ciambotti’s single that drove in two runs proved to be the pivotal moment of the inning.

Pitcher Freddy Bolchalk delivered a solid performance for the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles, allowing zero earned runs over five innings, with eight strikeouts and only two walks. On the other side, Aaron Wychock took the loss for St. John, surrendering seven runs (three earned) over three innings.

The John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles’ offense was supported by their patience at the plate, drawing 10 walks throughout the game. Dominic Ryan led the team with two hits, while Michael Condoleon, Nico Ciminero, and Caleb Hadley each earned two walks.

For St. John, Brady Cole, Aj Henslee, Bryson Vennitti, Aaron Wychock, and Ryan Williams contributed one hit each.

Looking ahead, the John F. Kennedy Catholic Varsity Eagles will face Cardinal Mooney on Thursday, while the Heralds will host the Bristol Panthers on Saturday.
