SKRIPAK SITS DOWN 13; RAIDERS BLANK LAKERS

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- It looks like the legacy of the South Range Raiders pitching staff will continue, and the future is bright on the mound for the Burgundy and Gold.  They were able to showcase some of that talent when the Raiders defeated Skaneateles 8-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Joe Aey struck out Bruna to finish off the game.

South Range opened up scoring in the first inning. Stevie Rohan doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

A single by Emil Sander in the fourth inning was a positive for Skaneateles, but that was all the Raiders would give.

Junior ace, Billy Skripac was credited with the victory for the Raiders. The Billy “The Kid” went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out 13 and walking one. The “Junk Yard Dog” Joey Aey threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen, and slammed the door on the Lakers.

James Musso took the loss for Skaneateles. undefined surrendered five runs on five hits over two innings, striking out three.

The Raiders socked one home run on the day. Corey Penick went yard in the second inning inside the park style.  South Range had eight hits in the game. Dylan Dominguez and Rohan all collected multiple hits for the Raiders while leading the way offensively for South Range.
