SOUTH RANGE BATS STAY HOT DOWN SOUTH; TOAST NOTRE DAME

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The South Range Raiders cruised to an easy victory over Notre Dame 12-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

In the first inning, the Raiders got their offense started when Michael Markulin doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. South Range notched six runs in the second inning. The Raiders put the pressure on, lead by singles by Tyson Tarajack and Dylan Dominguez, a walk by Billy Skripac, and a round-tripper by Corey Penick.

Tarajack was the winning pitcher for the Raiders. The right-hander allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking one.  

Logan Meisner took the loss for Notre Dame. Meisner lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one.  Luke Richards started the game for Notre Dame. The bulldog went one inning, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out one and walking zero

The Raiders socked one home run on the day. Corey Penick went deep for the second consecutive day showcasing his first-class speed with an in-the-park dinger.

The Raiders tallied 12 hits. DominguezMarkulin, and Aidan English each had multiple hits for South RangeEnglishMarkulin, and Dominguez each collected two hits to lead the teamRaiders stole five bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Stevie Rohan led the way with two.
